Overview
The Medical Imaging Department utilizes the latest imaging modalities to aid in diagnosing diseases in adult and pediatric cancer patients. To meet the increasing demand for quality diagnostic imaging services, we upgraded our modalities to be all digital. We are a unique, paperless, filmless department with the latest version of fully integrated HIS/RIS & PACS systems, providing the best quality service in a timely fashion.
- Chemoembolization and embolization using microcatheter, microspheres and beads.
- All guided biopsy procedures (CT or ultrasound guided).
- Insertion of all types of draining catheters like (percutaneous nephrostomy, percutaneous biliary drainage).
- Percutaneous stent insertion.
- Percutaneous Radio frequency ablation.
- Percutaneous microwave ablation.
- Occlusion of artery with coils.

Scope of services:

The fully digital department provides a complete range of imaging services because diagnosing tumors requires precise imagery. To assist the clinician in accurate diagnostic information regarding the location, size, and areas of spread, all diagnostic imaging modalities are available,

Standardization of investigation and examination protocols for both adults and pediatrics.

Appropriate communication with the hospital staff, aiming at accurate diagnosis.

Continuous monitoring and optimization of the patient waiting time for each modality.
The department present in the ground floor with 2 reporting rooms and include the following :

Digital X -ray (1 unit).

CT scans with & without contrast (2 machines).

MRI scan (2 machines) able to perform diffusion, perfusion, and MRS.

Digital Sono-Mammography (1 unit).

DEXA-scan (1 unit).

Intervention radiology.
-
Ultrasonography (4 ultrasonography units).

Intra operative ultrasound.

2 portable x ray units.
-
C-arm (2 units).
-
Automated contrast injection ( 4 units ).

CT and MRI each equipped with anesthesia unit used for patients sedation or general anesthesia during the procedures ( specially for pediatrics and examinations that needs patient to be fixed ).​
